SOLD OUT Alpaca-Cheingora Handspun Yarn 
KitKnit purchased this Alpaca-Cheingora (Samoyed) yarn at The Gathering in Port Hope. It was handspun and handdyed by Susan Finan in Napanee, Ontario. It was the inspiration for the Fur for Funds campaign.

The texture of this yarn is similar to mohair blend and has a halo.

Half of the fibre was gently sheared from two alpacas: Ivory and Laurel (pictured below).

The other half of the fibre was lovingly brushed from Samoyed dog(s). We are is still trying to locate a picture of the contributing Samoyed(s), however, below is a picture of our neighbourhood Samoyed, Thunder. Thunder is in the process of donating his groomed fur for the next fundraiser.
